I hope he does, with little to no manufacturer support in the future, teams will be able to switch manufacturers week to week anyway. The Toyota contract may not begin until practice for the 500 begins, who knows.

I would think Nascar would have the final say on that,especially since RGM has already announced that they are a Toyota team for 2009.I would also think that GEM would bitch and moan as well since that would prevent the #10 from running,and they are going to be a Dodge team all of 2009. Interesting theroy,lets see how that pans out.

The catch is it is not a points / sanctioned event, if toyota says ok, (THAT IS KEY ) run a dodge with min dodge logos, it is a great pr move , Just think, hey Jim B here is a free benifit race in prime time, toy will get the pr due to the switch for the 500, A thank you , Brillent

It is still a "NASCAR Sprint Cup" event. Points race or not you would think that someone wouldn't switch manufacturers for one race, or if NASCAR would even allow it.
