Saudi Arabia is +8 hours on Eastern Time / +11 on the West Coast.

January 5th-10th, the Rally Raid starts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and races North East before racing to South Eastern city of Riyadh.

January 11th, Rest Day Riyadh

January 12th-17th, the Rally Raid continues from Riyadh through the South Eastern area of Saudi Arabia before heading to West, finishing in Qiddiya.

Ricky Brabec is really bringing down the hammer 47 km into the special. The American has already put over 1′30″ into teammate Kevin Benavides and 2′42″ into Joan Barreda and Pablo Quintanilla. We are now waiting for the factory KTM riders.

OK, the coverage out of Saudi is bad at best. Africa 20 years ago was better,IMO. I'll wait for the car start, then I'm out.

Yup agreed. The starting podium (introductions) was disappointing as well - the crowd was really weak! Kinda sad.
