Robby Gordon is not scheduled to compete.

Saudi Arabia is +8 hours on Eastern Time / +11 on the West Coast.

January 5th-10th, the Rally Raid starts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and races North East before racing to South Eastern city of Riyadh.

January 11th, Rest Day Riyadh

January 12th-17th, the Rally Raid continues from Riyadh through the South Eastern area of Saudi Arabia before heading to West, finishing in Qiddiya.

It's pretty exciting to see Americans leading in 2 different categories. I'd still love to see Robby back there, but glad he's having so much success in ventures that (hopefully) pay.

I also like to see Curry winning over the Redbull team. Looks like the Redbulls may be faster but don't have the experience and reliability.

It took him until the penultimate stage, but Joan Barreda is now opening the track for the first time since the start of the rally. The Spaniard started three minutes ahead of Ricky Brabec and six ahead of Kevin Benavides.

A wary Ricky Brabec conceded almost 12 minutes to stage winner Pablo Quintanilla today. Even though his overall lead has now been halved, it should still be enough going into the closing stage of the Dakar.

13:17 Peterhansel wins by 10 seconds!
Stéphane Peterhansel has just claimed his fourth stage in the 2020 Dakar by just 10 seconds over Nasser Al-Attiyah! The leading duo gained 8 minutes on overall leader Carlos Sainz, who will start the last stage tomorrow with a 10-minute margin.

13:19 6 seconds separate Al-Attiyah and Peterhansel in the general classification
Nasser Al-Attiyah and Stéphane Peterhansel will have good reason to take the gloves off in the final stage of the Dakar. The Qatari, currently sitting in second place overall, holds a wafer-thin margin of 6 seconds over his French long-time rival. Stay tuned
