Truex leaves and thus opening door for Bass Pro to pull plug on sponsorship.

Menards and Paul Menard pull plug on DEI support.

Army doesn't resign for 2009.

Theresa is left with no drivers or sponsorship in 2009.

DEI is almost worthless.

Only thing left is Max Siegal, John Story, some owner's points and The DEI/RCR engine program.

Menard cleans up scraps for penny's on the buck.

Theresa goes barrel racing with daughter.

Max and John get the boot.

RCR takes over DEI's portion of engine program thru offering Jack sponsorship to Menard's new team. Then John gives DEI's portion of engine program to RCR.

RCR's line up becomes

Harvick - Shell
Burton - CAT
Boyer - UPS
Amorola - General Mills

Chevy buys out Tony's contract.

Haas CNC racing is disolved via non top 35 points but Tony starts season with the #66 points and PCP.

Penske
Alltel is out in 2009

Penske sells KB and #2 to GEM.

Roush: Office depot goes to 3rd Yates team and # 16 goes to Yates.

Jack 4 cars, RCR 4 cars, Menards 4 cars, Yates 4 cars, Hendrick 4 cars, Gibbs 4 cars, GEM 4 cars.

Somebody takes the #4 ???

CAT is already signed up for Burton's #31.
General Mills in on the 4th car, driver to named... but you have to think Richard already has an idea who it will be.
Don't expect Richard to pass up UPS bucks.
From what is being written about on other sites UPS to the 07 is a done deal.
So is General Mills on the 4th car...

Must be painful to have too many sponsors.
DEI was over on February 18, 2001. Dale was DEI and nobody can fill his shoes or do what he did with that organization.

I hope Truex bails for his own sake.
I still can't believe that TE would just sell to other investors, she must really have it in for the Earnhardt kids. The team would still have Jr, and maybe still be in good shape if she had just gone ahead and let him have the 51%.
What's with the Red Bull/BDR merge rumors?
Only thing I heard was that if Red Bull bring's Scott Speed up to Cup that they could put him into the second BDR car. Basically same deal that Red Bull did to Scott in F1. They put him into a satellite team, Toro Roso. If I was Scott I would be a little hesitant. For one, I dont know if working for BDR would be my first choice, and he has been down this road before where he works for Red Bull yet he is on another team. It did not go well in F1 and I would not want to make a second try at it again. But what do I know? I guess a paycheck is a paycheck.
Scott Speed is bad ass. Plus he's freaking out the rednecks, which is cool. RedBull has real money, they can put Scott Speed wherever they choose, and he would be happy to go there.
