Join us for the Dakar Rally's third day on Jan 5, 2009 , right here and chat about the action during the 3rd stage.

Stage 3 - Monday, January 5
Puerto Madryn > Jacobacci
Connection: 70 km | Special: 616 km | Connection: 8 km | Total: 694 km
For the third day of the race, the special program is a tough one, ranging over 600 km. It will be a sign that the competitors have reached the heart of the matter, even though big problems are still to come. The entry into Patagonia, which will be accompanied by a significant change in terrain, will need new piloting abilities. The landscape is much hillier, and those who prefer long curves will find what they’re looking for. Here, orientation is done using the lakes that border the route, around ten throughout the day, and numerous pink flamingoes will be the preferred guides for this stage.

this tracking system is horrible... i hope the get it figured out by the time this thing is over. he was only 13 minutes back for the entire day. it makes us nervous when they don't show him!
you guys are stressed out today can't post today trying to work good job robby gas on
we should of got andy a spot locator , so he could just keep pushing ok LOL
that was really tough, I thought he they had broke down or their tracking equipment stopped working right before checkpoint 1 because they showed up in the standings at CP1. I hope it gets better. rock on Robby.....
Where's the "Twitter Dude" when you need him?
jeez.. gave up and went to lunch. came back and our boy is home safe. Gonna need to eat more often.
please somebody tell me that Robby HAS NOT made the comment "we're just crusin"....we all know that is the kiss of death..........
Boy I would give a $100 to hear a "Richard Crainium" update right now. To bad there is no Argentinean Weatherman

I bet the fact that it's in the Southern Hemisphere then looped through France has a lot to do with the limited updates. Glad he made it through. Hope Eric V can recover for a realtime sweeper. Gonna need that as the race progresses.
Looks like the #324 Hummer made it through KM47 5 Hours 13 sec back. That is very good news. Robby still may have his rolling parts bin.
This is where all the focus begins. Robby just needs to cruz in top 10s stage after stage. Overall half of the top ten will fall out. It is just fact. If you follow the current trend you will see Robby has over 7 hours on 11th place. It's all about consistant STRONG finishes. Even if RG gives Sianz 10 minutes a day at the end of the rally that would still be good for 3rd historically.

Keep consisant- keep in the show.

Once the circus heads to Chile that will be more adept to RG's car and style.
