Saudi Arabia is +8 hours on Eastern Time / +11 on the West Coast.

December 31st, the Rally Raid starts in Sea Camp, Saudi Arabia and races North than South East before racing to North to the city of Dammam.

The 45th Dakar will be decided in a gripping sprint finish between Toby Price and Kevin Benavides. In accordance with the Dakar rules, the bikers will start tomorrow in the reverse order of the general standings, so Kevin will be the second-last biker on the road and Price will bring up the rear. Both KTM factory riders, separated by a mere 12 seconds, will benefit from the tracks of the rest of the field, paving the way for a mad dash to the line unless their squad tells them not to go crazy. Toby is chasing his third title (after 2016 and 2019 with KTM) and Kevin his second (after 2021 with Honda).

Winner of the 2nd stage, @mason_klein1 didn't take the start this morning. The young American was injured since he crashed twice on stage 9. An X-ray at the bivouac yesterday found nothing abnormal but Klein eventually decided to withdraw.

After a strong performance that put him in the lead at km 114, Hélder Rodrigues ran out of steam in the last section and finished the special about 15 minutes behind Mitch Guthrie. The American claimed his fifth stage win in this Dakar by 50 seconds over Ignacio Casale and 57 over Seth Quintero. Austin Jones conceded 10 minutes on Quintero in the battle for the overall, but he remains over 54 minutes clear of his countryman going into the finale.
