Saudi Arabia is +8 hours on Eastern Time / +11 on the West Coast.

January 3rd, the Rally Raid starts in Bisha, Saudi Arabia and races North to Alula, than over to Hail before racing to the South East to end at the city of Shubaytah.

Mason Klein was unable to repair his Kove and withdrew from the rally at kilometre 319. As the American is registered in RallyGP, his withdrawal from the stage means he will have to retire from the race entirely.

Price and Sunderland bow out | Ultimate

Toby Price and Sam Sunderland, despite finishing 23rd yesterday, have decided to call time on their debut Dakar in the Ultimate class due to medical reasons. Both two-time winners of the Dakar on motorbikes, the duo had made an impressive start to their transition to cars, even climbing to fourth overall after the 48 h chrono stage. However, an issue during stage 4 sent them tumbling down the standings and derailed their campaign. "Unfortunately, we've chosen to withdraw from the Dakar due to medical reasons", he shared on social media a few hours ago. "Let's hope this won't be the last. Time will tell."

Sam Sunderland and Toby Price Withdraw from the Dakar
After a tough battle, the team made the difficult decision to withdraw from the race. During Stage 5, Sam suffered a concussion that worsened today after another impact. To prioritize the co-driver’s health, the crew decided to end their participation in the rally.
