Stage 8 - Sunday, January 11

Valparaiso > La Serena

Connection: 245 km | Special: 294 km | Connection: 113 km | Total: 652 km
After a day of rest on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, an easier restart has been programmed. On mid-range mountain roads, driving hotshots should be able to really strut their stuff. The experts in car positioning, trajectory and sudden braking will show how it’s done. But for the rally leaders, there is certainly more to be lost than won during this stage.

Looking at the times, if Roma got around RG there, then RG got back around him before the WP.
It happened after the 49km waypoint.
aw crikes......so we are looking at about minus 5-7 or so next checkpoint.......
Ah. youre right! I thought it said before. Roma had already closed over 1:30 on RG at 49km, so it wouldn't have taken anything major for Roma to get around.
He's a very good driver, I think he was 3rd overall at the CER. Maybe a threat for stage wins, but is nearly five hours back in the overall right now...
as long as that is his one and only problem for the day we are laughing...
Guys, this is classic WRC stage with tight and twisty, where you have to left foot break for quick weight transfer to make the quick left and rights. With hummers long suspension travel, it is hard to make change direction that quickly while keeping the speed up. It is really a VW day, especially Carlos, as this what he has done for living all his life.
not yet but it is coming
Don't know about the "Team", Bill, but I was out shoveling snow this AM!
Hi, Path! Where was Mouse? Snoozing?
how are we supposed to concentrate on what your saying with that avatar?
I just ran into these pretty ladies at Montreal F1. I too was drooling.
