I must tell you all, I have met RG, not that it matters here, one of my best friends and I have been on board with RG for a very long time. since Indy days. We were talking today and we chatted about Robby for a minute and he told me that while he was wearing his RG hat someone asked him if he was an actual RG fan. While he said yes. He was ridiculed about why. My friend said; yes I am a fan and it is almost work to be a fan of RG because he has the ability to be drive and win in a car that is equal to the best. Both friend and I continue to be fans, because we believe. Sometimes we question RG. But thats our right as fans. But we both have met him and he may remember us or not, but we still follow RG. Probably always will. ROLL ON ROBBY! (from the Cummins crowd)

We take a lot of crap,(from the novice fan) but in the end they just don't realize how interesting it is to follow and support the MAN! I think its an attitude that we all have as Robby fans.
No other race team in the world, in any form of racing, operates the way RGM does. We as fans not only cheer for Robby but we cheer for a product. We don't care if he wins or doesn't. We cheer for his determination. For someone to last this long in a sport where we saw teams like Yates, DEI, Gillete and countless others fail and have to merge or sell and all while supporting a highly competitive offroad team is why we are fans. GAS ON.
I could not have said it better !!!!! Just having the #7 out there is a victory. They will see why we are fans at Sonoma and the Glen. Where it takes talent not a perfect car setup.
AMEN TO THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1/2 the reason i DO root for Robby is cause not everybody does .I like to root for someone who ISNT Mr popular or doesnt have the best equiptment and SHOULD win like Mr 5 time . Robby goes out there and gives it 110 % all the time whether its NASCAR , SCORE , BITD , LOORRS , DAKAR or whatever else he decides to drive . And another thing how many other drivers have a list like that for 1 season of racing . Robby can basically race anything and have a legitimate of winning or at the least a good showing .
....and Robby does it in racing machines that he builds and owns. That's one reason why I'm a huge fan.
x10, !00% AGREED .
Crap is not a strong enough word for some of the stuff we Robby fans hear. Some of it is just downright disrespectful.
Met Robby in the mid 90's, and he was as nice to me and his fans then as the last time I spoke with him in '09. He is a class act with those wanting an autograph, picture, or just a moment of his time at a racing/autograph event. Robby became one of my favorites when Childress hired him as a teammate to Harvick. Although they are no longer together, you will see me wearing both their colors and swag at the track with pride. My reason for being a Robby fan- his perseverance!!
I became a Nascar fan in 03 when I started working at a place that had a weekly Nascar pool. The first race I had money in was Robby's victory at Watkins Glen. So, that put him on my radar screen from the start. In 05 I went into business for myself, at the same time Robby went into business for himself. I've felt an emotional connection with him since then. He's the guy I support in Nascar. The COT seriously hurt RGM. Around the same time, the Dakar in Morocco was cancelled. I know that decision cost him millions. It seems he's been behind the 8 ball since. The last few seasons have been about survival. It's been truly impressive how he has kept RGM in existence. He is an excellent businessman, as well as driver.
If things go well with the energy drink, he'll have equipment that can win next year. I'm certainly pulling for him.
I was a casual NASCAR fan until I attended my first race at Las Vegas in 2005. I choose to pull for Robby Gordon because I grew up in Southern California, and I remembered his name from off road racing. And of course you’ve got to have a favorite driver to pull for! So while 90% of those in attendance watch the front of the pack, I have my scanner tuned to Robbys channel. Sometimes this means rooting for him to stay on the lead lap, and it’s exciting to see the strategy and effort this takes. Daytona in person was a different story, as Robby really did have a couple chances to win these past few years. I’ve met Robby a couple of time at his trailer, and there is no driver around that treats his fans better! Since Robby has been absent from some NASCAR events this year, it’s made me realize how boring these races can be! So I’m excited to see him back in the #7, and it’s awesome to see the videos of his off road races here at the Planet too! Still Pulling For Robby!
ive been a robby fan since the mid 90's... i was raised in havasu and lived there the majority of my life... we are both about the same age, and one night we were both at a bar (both underaged btw...) that was in what used to be the ramada inn. he was with another young punk named paul tracy. i knew who he was from off road racing. been following as a fan ever since and it just progressed into following into nascar (not my favorite form of racing by far!)
Sometimes it is tough being a Robby fan, but we can take it! Have also been pleasantly surprised to meet many others at the races who are ardent supporters like we are! Rock on, Robby!
When Robby wins at sears point, sorry infineon, we will get our revenge!
