Feld and Cassie Currie to have short course races with monster jam

Just read on CC's fb that he and Feld will be bringing short course racing back to the stadiums??? The little press rellease on his website sounds like he jjust cut and pasted stuff from Robby and pushing it with feld and monster jam. I thought the Curries were on board with SST? Im sure they will be using the prolites as the truck of choice like the dorky expo races they have done in the past at monster jams but ..... Really!

Yeah not sure what is going on. A few years ago Currie did a few expo short course races with Feld. From what I remember Currie helped design the SST and was going to be apart of SST. I wonder if there was a change of heart? I had also heard that Feld holds contracts with many Stadiums & Arena's that keep other motorsports from using those facilities. This would be my guess as to why he has teamed up with Feld. Also it would be interesting to know if Feld approached him, since they have done business in the past? Maybe Feld does not like that RG is trying to be a player in the Indoor Motorsports Arena and they want to try to squash it.

I'm guessing Curries deal will be using V8 short course ProLights, vs a true spec truck.

Maybe he is doing both ? SST doesn't begin until April, whereas the Truckcross is run in Jan & Feb.

I was just going to go back an edit my post commenting on the dates and how they don't overlap. I still think it is strange how Currue tried to get Feld to do this a few years ago, and was able to do a few Expo races with them. Now that SST is coming out Feld has decided the support a 5 race series.

Im all about people taking what they can get when opportunity knocks, the same issue will always be the issue with these feld monster jam deals, you will always be second to the monster trucks which will leave you with horable tracks that dont do much more than circles around the crushed cars. Oh and you get to sell your soul to feld and give up most all of your marketing ability, so good luck to you Mmr. Currie! I love anything offroad and especially stadium stuff but not to the point where it appears some gay form of nascar playing crash up derby! Cant wait for Crandon!

Casey was here for torc a few days after he tested an sst. As soon as I saw him, had to ask "So I hear your on board for this whole sst thing?" Casey " I don't think so". I probably visibly had the scooby ruh? face at that moment. I'd read/heard somewhere they were helping with some chassis fab or something, like nikal.

Didn't they always used to have the Tuff-Truck races with the Monster Jam Events? Well they would alternate some venues would have Tuff-Trucks and others would have the Quad-Wars IIRC this was back when the MJ shows were still on TNN.

Guys, come on and get real. We didn't need any help from Casey Currie on desiging the stadium trucks, Casey is a nice young man and we wish him well with his program at Feld but he didn't have anything to do with the design of SST trucks or the series, to be honest were a little disappointed he was at the Test In The West now that he's competition.
