Living in Mi has it's drawbacks...no desert, lol. I do go to MIS in June , just to meet and watch Robby. If he wasn't racing I wouldn't bother with the hassel. Will have to miss the June race this year, my grandsons H.S. graduation party is that weekend.Any corrections or insight you can add will be much welcomed...lot of people comment but don't know their rear end from a hole in the ground. You'll hardly see me say anything worth reading for that same reason, lol I lurk and learn, take care, Chris
Hi - just a note - not sure how interested you are in old timer racing. There is a racers reunion on Ning and they are featuring video and interviews from the Mountain Moonshine Festivial, Dawsonville (Bill Elliot's home) Interviews with Buddy Baker and Dan Elliot. Just thought you maight be interested. Joan
Hi Ex - As you can see, I am "older" too and used to race a Ford. My Ford had a Fairlane chassis, 3 to 1 ratio, huge bored out T-bird engine and a heavy duty jeri rigged truck clutch. The car looked like somehitng from the demolition derby, but it hauled a-- and when it cornered it just hugged and never fishtailed out on me. I loved that car. Unfortunately it got old and the rear finally gave out. I cried, couldn't watch it go to the junk yard. Joan
Hi Ex- saw you left a message for Ms. Gibby. I am a huge RG fan, and love all his off-road efforts. On RuR followed the Dakar and even before that followed as much as I could that was posted on the internet. Coverage of Baja isn't that great would love to go sometime. That must be a great experience. Joan
